Low Carb Fat-Burning Pancakes

Here is one of my family’s favourite pancake recipes you can make these low carb fat-burning pancakes more paleo by replacing the oats with almond flour.

Makes 6-8 pancakes


  • 8 egg whites
  • 2-4 egg yolks
  • 50-60 g of porridge oats
  • coconut oil for frying

To serve:

  • Berries
  • Coyo yogurt
  • Any nut or seed butter
  • Lemon juice
  • Xylitol


  1. Blend all ingredients together using either hand blender or food processor until it forms a thick consistency.
  2. Heat a frying pan over a medium heat and add the coconut oil.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add a ladle of the batter. Wait until the pancake starts to bubble on the top then turn it over. Cook both sides until they are brown.
  4. Repeat until you have used up all the batter.


Serve with:

  • Berries and coyo yogurt
  • Berries and peanut butter
  • Nuts and coconut flakes
  • Lemon juice and xylitol instead of sugar
  • Berries and xylitol
