How It Works

Launched in August 2013 by students at the University of Pennsylvania, AdmitSee is a social media platform where thousands of verified undergrad and grad students share their application materials, including personal statements, test scores, extracurricular resumes, and high school background. The information is uploaded to profiles (similar to LinkedIn/Facebook), so it’s fun and easy for prospective students to navigate.

According to the USC’s newspaper Daily Trojan, AdmitSee “facilitates a deeper level of connection with the actual applicants by exposing them to private information from past profiles.” Browsing basic profiles is free. Users filter by school or Admit background to find people similar to themselves. Or they can browse curated packages of profiles, organized by school, essay topic and Admit background. Unlocking a profile’s full-length essays and advice costs just $8 if purchased in a package (slightly more if purchased individually).

Unlike college application forums, our Admits are vetted and verified using their official school IDs. We split sales 50/50 with students who license us their content so they're incentivized to create robust profiles. These Admits also write our blog posts, providing an inside look at their college experience.
