The Newfanglers Live at Tipsy McSway's 12 26 15

The Newfanglers formed in 2003 around a recording project called Blood in the Pines: The Story of Hollis Sheppard. Centered around a core of Waycross GA songwriters, Sean Clark, Dave Griffin, and Gram Griffin, The Newfanglers pulled in the talents of local musicians, singers, and guitar slingers to make their debut concept album, based on an age-old story of families feudin', wife-beatin's, ass-whippin's, murder, and small-town injustice. Don Helms, steel guitarist in Hank Williams Sr.'s Drifting Cowboy band, was called upon to lend his extraordinary sound to two tracks on the CD. Released in 2007, Blood in the Pines remains a favorite of Alt-Country fans around the world. Personal appearances are rare but special occasions.
